Porting non-Innotab ROMs to the Max? - huckleberrypie - 03-11-2017 Anyone thought of doing this? It shouldn't be too risky to pull off since the internal storage is removable, and assuming that you can mount the /system partition and swap APKs, libraries and frameworks from a tablet running off the same Rockchip SOC as the Innotab Max, it would be theoretically possible to convert it to a regular tablet with none of the VTech bloatware kicking in. RE: Porting non-Innotab ROMs to the Max? - is0-mick - 03-12-2017 Yeah, you probably could. Haven't done it myself, but seeing as everything's on an internal SD card, there's no real risk if you back it up first, or use a different card completely. If an app or two crashes or malfunctions checking logcat and looking for faulty libs may help. I am just wondering if you could pull that one off for science and see if the Max can run AOSP. |
