I3s_UK_v42.31128 - Deak Phreak - 01-09-2014 If anyone has a UK Innotab 3s v42.31128 and possibly still a warranty on the device in case something goes wrong, you can grab this firmware and try it out. Post if it works or fails Link is in firmware thread You will need to edit the database and add your UnitEID before the flasher will show up in your games folder RE: I3s_UK_v42.31128 - camdbug - 01-10-2014 Ah. You beat me to it! Have just grabbed a clean copy of the UK 3S v42.31128 using the dump script. Have that safe and available if required. Will give your version a try now! Quick point. The LLN/innotab_wf.db file only had an entry for Angry Birds in it and was missing the entry for Execute. As I was pretty sure this was the file that the 3s would look at, I was not surprised that I only saw Angry Birds in the Games folder. Simply copied the relevant values from LLN/innotab_sd.db to create a new entry and it then showed fine. Other than that, it works just perfectly as far as I can tell. Angry birds has been played and the other games already on there seem to be working just as normal. Thank you very much for that! Going to update my other daughter's one now! RE: I3s_UK_v42.31128 - ray._b - 01-10-2014 Hi, Good work. Copied the relevant files across, and can confirm that the update went fine. Flash files seem to work OK, including books. Many thanks for the hard work, and useful Information. Makes this a much more useful piece of tech now Cheers RE: I3s_UK_v42.31128 - Deak Phreak - 01-10-2014 (01-10-2014, 02:54 AM)camdbug Wrote: Quick point. It was a trial version and real simple and quick to identify and fix. I would have gone through a lot more pain than that to get it working, so there are no complaints from me! ![]() My current challenge is playing around with the customiser tool as over the last few years I finally let go of my Windows ties so am purely on Linux, Android and Mac now (never thought I'd be saying that last one, but work gave me a MacBook, and it is just Linux under the hood these days!) About to see if WINE will run the tools to try and avoid digging out the old pc... In fact; so grateful I'm going to go and donate right now! Done! My work gave us a choice of laptops and I chose a windows 7 machine while everyone else chose mac. I just don't want to take the time to learn a mac right now when I already know how to do everything on windows hehe. Thanks for the donation. I just put that up yesterday so you are the first to try it out and looks like it worked fine. You are now showing as a donator and ads should not be shown for you. The top space did feel empty without any ads so I threw up an image for my spiffy network ![]() RE: I3s_UK_v42.31128 - camdbug - 01-10-2014 I'm getting a "broken chrome face" on the banner ![]() Don't blame you on the platform choice by the way. I was fixed on Windows for the PC and heavily invested in Unix/Linux on the work side and hated Macs and all they stood for for many years. Still do by the way, but an SSD, top spec MacBook is actually a quite nice piece of kit except if you're trying to write linux scripts and all of the useful special characters are missing!!! However, it has taken me a good few months to start to get familiar with the "differences" and am still not totally won over. No other apple equipment is allowed in the house! If I had time I'd offer to write a Java version for you, but in my current circumstances that would be likely to be yet another project on the list that never gets done. Turns out that Wine is not prepared to recognised USB ports, so I may well have to dig out the PC. Luckily haven't converted it to Linux yet! That is strange about the permission issue with the banner. Unsure if I am able to replicate it or not to try and debug. I know how it is when projects pile up. I already have my hands full with all my websites and its hard to keep track of everything going on as well as everything at home. Its very good that I don't get stressed easily ![]() RE: I3s_UK_v42.31128 - camdbug - 01-10-2014 Yep! Looks like possible DNS/domain problem. Banner is coming from spiffynetwork.com and from here at least that is not a recognised domain name (UK). Have you got a locally referenced domain set up? I may try to look into it further when I am less busy lol |
