GAMES and Flash not working.
#1
For some reason, the only apps that are working seem to be the *.bin ones. None of the ones in the GAMES folder nor the Flash folder are working. I have double checked the .db file and checked the path statement and titles. Everything seems to be in order and had worked previously.
I wonder if when I updated that last system update back in... January? was it? (The current one on the firmware list) if something didn't take?
I may try reflashing the update and see if that works.
Any other ideas?

Thanks

can you shell into the device? You can check to see if the SD card is executable. If not, you can modify an installer file to output mount info to see if it is or not.

not sure what you mean by executable.

I can view the sd card via usb cable and via just inserting the card into the computer with windows explorer. I can edit the innopad_ws.db file with sqlite as well.

I did try reflashing the firmware, to no avail. I rechecked the db for the paths as well and it seems the CARTS folder games are working just fine. it's the other flash files such as angry birds etc that I am having trouble with.

if other games are working that are not carts then it most likely is not an executable issue. You won't see this if you stick the SD card into your computer because the innotab sets the permissions of the SD card upon bootup when it mounts the SD card. If it mounts the SD card with a noexec flag then you can't run apps off the SD card.

As mentioned above, if non cart games are working, then it might be an issue with the flash player.
