You can't restore the backup because it is a different version. You can only flash the same version that is on the device or you will risk breaking it. If there is no firmware for your current version, you will have to dump the firmware and post it so it can be patched. If you have already donated the minimum amount then you should be able to post in the firmware request section after dumping your firmware.
You may want to delete any firmware you have on your computer so you don't mix up what is what. All you need is to dump a fresh firmware from your device and post it to be patched and then flash that to the device.
